February 24, 2026 A Public Hearing on the PROPOSED UPDATE TO THE PLAN OF CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT (WINDSOR 2035).

The Conservation Commission of the Town of Windsor will hold a hybrid public hearing via Zoom and in person in the Council Chambers at town hall, 275 Broad Street on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 7:00 PM to hear public comment on the following item:
• PROPOSED UPDATE TO THE PLAN OF CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT (WINDSOR 2035)
The Plan of Conservation and Development serves as a strategic guide for managing growth and preserving valuable resources and undergoes a comprehensive review and update every ten years in compliance with State of Connecticut requirements.
More information concerning the Public Hearing will be posted here when it is available.
Please be advised that within the POCD are multiple references to implementing "traffic calming" in downtown.  That "traffic calming" will be some version of the Road Diet (reconstructing and reducing downtown traffic lanes and other traffic flow changes) that was rejected by majority vote in a town wide referendum last year.  Yes- the Road Diet is back and it's in the POCD.
Comments about that, and other elements of the POCD may be sent to Town Council members or Town Planner Todd Sealy .
