Town Council Issues
The Republican Town Council Candidates, if elected, will:
We will achieve these objectives by taking the actions detailed below.
- Strengthen Community Trust and Respect. We are fortunate to live in diverse community where residents rely on each other’s trust and respect to live and work together.
- Promote Safe Streets & Neighborhoods. We appreciate the support of our Police, Fire and Emergency Services to keep our neighbors safe.
- Support the Wilson Neighborhood. We support the open space use of the Wilson Redevelopment site.
- Address traffic and Noise Pollution Issues. We intend to address and look for solutions to the increasing traffic volume and subsequent noise pollution in our neighborhoods.
- Improve Infrastructure and Town Maintenance. Windsor streets and infrastructure need our attention.
- Keep Windsor Affordable for All. We believe all of Windsor’s residents deserve to live in a community that they can enjoy and afford.
We will achieve these objectives by taking the actions detailed below.
Strengthen Community Trust and Respect
We offer a vision of unity that all Windsor residents can support, including:
- Schools that prepare children to be successful, independent young adults.
- Commerce that provides job opportunities and economic growth for everyone.
- Law enforcement that is accountable, supported, and respected by all.
- Public infrastructure that is sound and cost effective.
- Town facilities that make Windsor one of the best places in America to live.
Promote Safe Streets & Neighborhoods
Windsor and our neighbors in Hartford Country have seen a dramatic increase in auto related crimes, car break-ins and car thefts. These crimes are being perpetrated, according to multiple sources, by offenders under 18 that see no punishment for their actions. These criminals -- as the law sees them -- are now moving to using weapons in the pursuit of their crimes, making this more dangerous for our neighbors. We must pressure our State Representatives to change the laws making these crimes more accountable. Your Republican Councilors will do that.
Support the Wilson Neighborhood
Wilson has been a forgotten part of Windsor. We support development of small stores in Wilson, and the conversion of the redevelopment park into open space for the benefit of our Wilson/Deerfield neighbors. We also support small business in the area, and will work to assist small businesses.
Address traffic and Noise Pollution Issues
With all the recent developments in Windsor, to name a few, such as, Amazon’s huge warehouses on Kennedy Road, Day Hill Road, and last leg distribution center also on Day Hill Road our neighbors have experienced an increase in truck traffic, noise and have seen little benefit from all this building.
Our taxes go up 2% to 3% per year. The Republican Councilors will support smarter development that reduces disruption to the quality of life in our neighborhoods. We also support benefits that accrue to our residents in the form of infrastructure replacement and repair, and tax relief.

Improve Infrastructure and Town Maintenance
Our neighbors have observed a wearing down of our streets and town facilities. We support increased spending on infrastructure using available revenue resources, and not passing the cost on to residents. Windsor has the ability to improve and beautify all of our town centers.
Keep Windsor Affordable for All
We do not support spending and tax increases that are not approved by the tax payers. We will not unilaterally approve a budget that the voters have not agreed to in referendum. We will make responsible budgeting decisions using available resources to the greatest extent possible.
