Federal Government Information

  • ​U.S. House of Representatives.  Elected to a two-year term, each representative serves the people of a specific congressional district by introducing bills and serving on committees, among other duties.
  • U.S. Senate.  The Constitution sets three qualifications for service in the U.S. Senate: age (at least thirty years of age); U.S. citizenship (at least nine years); and residency in the state a senator represents at time of election.
  • The White House.  Thousands of people work in the West Wing, the East Wing, the Cabinet, and the Executive Office of the President.​
