July 9, 2022 - Monarch Festival

The WRTC contributed this upcycled pollinator planter to the Monarch Festival of 2022, providing financial support to First Town Downtown and their work in maintaining the two monarch habitats at the River Trail as well as educational projects.  Len Pelton, a local artist, created the design that was displayed on the town green on July 9th, and is now supporting the habitat near Dewey's Barrels on Poquonock.

October 9, 2021 - Chili Challenge

The Windsor Republicans took second place for best chili Saturday.
John Gamache, our former Town Councilor and of Mardi Party food truck fame was our chef, and he toiled diligently on the chili, a secret recipe of his.
The 'mad scientists' won first place.  We will take them on again next year!
Larry Lazor, a candidate for the 1st Congressional district, and Bob Stefanowski a former candidate for Governor, also joined us and our candidates.
Special thanks to our chef, and all those who helped.
