Town Council
I have lived in Windsor for over 25 years. During this time, I have witnessed many changes, both positive and negative.
I love living in Windsor, the charm of the public green and its fountain are hard to find elsewhere. Windsor’s long historic past only adds to its charm. If I am elected to the Town Council I will work to see that Windsor keeps its appeal while looking forward to the uncertain future. For me, it is time to move forward together.

I was born in Orange County, California, and moved to Connecticut in 1988 due to a job relocation with Combustion Engineering (now GE). I hold a degree in Chemical Engineering which has equipped me with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

I have been happily married to my wife Laurie for 27 years. Laurie is a long-time resident of Windsor and is a Windsor High graduate, as was her large family. I helped raise my two stepdaughters, Sarah and Rachael, both of whom are Windsor High and college graduates.  Both have successful lives.

I have traveled extensively for my work, mostly in India and Southern Asia. I have lived in both New Delhi, India, and Jakarta, Indonesia which taught me how to work with a diverse range of people.

I retired from General Electric 8 years ago after 35 years of service. Since retiring, I have served as the Treasurer for the Windsor Republican Town Committee for the past 6 years and I have been an active Commissioner on the Zoning Board of Appeals for several years.

As a private citizen, I collaborated with Former Mayor Don Trinks to install public chess boards outside the Windsor Library. I enjoy staying active and working with my hands, and I have a woodworking shop.
  • I believe in common-sense budgeting where we must balance our needs against our wants.  I support Public Safety.  I like to see emphasis on the Police, EMT and Fire Department.
  • Tax justification: All Town departments and the Board of Education must review their budgets with a newly sharpened pencil. Every budget item can be evaluated with the question: “Is this needed immediately, or can it be postponed until a later date?” I use this approach in maintaining my household expenses, as I am sure many Windsor families do.
  • Capital projects need to be reviewed with “Do  we need it now, or can it wait?”  The continuous renewal of the 'Road Diet' scheme needs to stop, and the Town Council must focus on budget control. Again, with a “Do we need it now or can it wait?”
  • The Town Council needs to work together in the spirit of “we” and not “us versus them”. Both sides must reach out and establish realistic, uplifting goals that allow Windsor to grow without overburdening taxpayers. Town Council decisions affect every family in the town, regardless of party affiliation. As I said before, It is time to move forward together.
Thank you for your time, and remember to vote on November 4th. Every vote counts towards your future in Windsor.
